League of Legends Magical Mayhem Challenge
About This Event
Magical Mayhem is a weekly League of Legends mid lane challenge every Sunday from 6 to 8 PM at Bakersfield eSports Center. Queue up Ranked Solo or Flex during the event window and your mid lane performance gets scored. Kills, assists, deaths, magic damage dealt, wards placed and wins all factor into your total.
This one rewards the mid laners who do everything. Roam, deal damage, get picks, drop wards and win games. If you're the type to sit mid and farm for 30 minutes without touching the map, your score's going to show it.
Rules & Format
Scoring challenge for mid lane performance in League of Legends. Play Ranked 5v5 Solo or Flex on-site during the 6 to 8 PM event window.
Scoring formula:
Kills: 1 point each
Assists: 1.5 points each
Deaths: -0.5 points each
Wards Placed: 0.5 points each
Match Win: +10 points
Mode Bonus: +1 point per Ranked Solo or Flex match played
Magic Damage Dealt (tiered):
2,000 to 3,999: +1 point
4,000 to 5,999: +2 points
6,000 to 7,999: +3 points
8,000 to 9,999: +4 points
10,000+: +5 points
All games must be played on-site during the event window.
Prizes
Prize details are listed on the Arcade tab on the PCs at the center. Check there for current prize info before the event starts.
Schedule
Every Sunday, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Recurring weekly with no end date.
No brackets. Play ranked matches during the window. Scores are tallied at 8 PM.
FAQs
Q: Do I have to play mid lane?
A: The scoring is built around mid lane stats (magic damage in particular), so you'll score best playing mid. You can technically play another role but your magic damage numbers probably won't keep up.
Q: Does it matter if I play Solo or Flex queue?
A: Both count. You get the +1 mode bonus either way.
Q: Do wards really matter for scoring?
A: Half a point each. If you drop 20 wards in a game, that's 10 free points. Most people ignore vision and lose easy score because of it.
Q: Do all my games count or just my best ones?
A: Check with staff for whether it's all games or best-of during the event window.
Q: Do I need my own League account?
A: Yes. Bring your account with ranked access ready to go.
Q: What if I get autofilled to a different role?
A: Dodge tax is on you. If you play a non-mid game, your magic damage will probably be lower and your score will reflect that.
